Surely by now, the San Francisco police department had come out to the docks to find all of the blood drenched bodies who had fallen along the dock. Amongst their pistols and long arm shotguns and rifles, they had a Sharps rifle with a scope made specifically for sniping off targets at a distance. Thus they pursued them, and thereby the presumption that their target was not so far out of reach did abound in several of their minds.

After they’d come a substantial ways out of town Clay’s men began to move on the caravan more aggressively. Howbeit, as they sped up, so did those whom they chased. It was at this time that one of Oleander Greene’s men drew the Sharps sniper rifle from the wagon, and fired it across the distance striking one of the riders. In a violent turn of events, three horsemen who’d accompanied Rial turned around and began to race towards Seth and his fellows as though Hell was on their heels. Once they’d covered some distance, the three of them began to dash and dodge, weaving from the right to the left to one degree or another. Or at least that was the case with two of the three horsemen. The other brazenly persisted to charge the ten men straight on ejaculating what sounded to be a Rebel Yell. Having finished loading the Sharp’s for another go, Oleander’s man looked confident. “Die, you son of a beast.”, he cockily muttered under his breath, as he was about to fire. However, before he could shoot, the two weaving winding men began to fire on the ten with their rifles.
